Birkenfeld, 06.08.2026. Self-adhesive booklet labels for jewellery are a patented invention by Ferdinand Eisele GmbH, based in Birkenfeld near Pforzheim. The label manufacturer, focusing on jewellery and watches, has taken a fresh approach to the popular loop label concept: featuring two additional labelling areas and a specially designed fold, the booklet label offers space for twice as much information as a conventional loop label of a comparable size. Patented solution for double the data capacity at labels with fastening loop

Booklet labels offer two more pages than standard labels with a fastening loop. Thanks to their patented design, they can display twice the amount of information in the form of a compact booklet attached to the jewellery. The dimensions of the label remain visually the same; it simply features four labelling areas instead of the usual two. As self-adhesive labels, booklet labels, like loop labels, can be printed with data on-site at the user’s premises using a desktop-class thermal transfer printer.

Structure of an item number As a core component of stock management, the item number should be easy to handle. It must not be too long and complex for this. In eXtra4 practice, a number sequence with eight digits has proven its worth. Instead of assigning the item number completely randomly, it is advisable to develop a speaking key based on a categorisation of the stock of goods into item groups. With an 8-digit item number, the first four digits of the number sequence can be used for the item group and the following four for a consecutive or random number, i.e. for up to 10,000 items per item group.
