Jewellery labels as a challenge for label printers

Not every label printer prints jewellery labels. With their often unusual shapes and small dimensions, labels for jewellery and watches demand a lot from label printers. Printing demands maximum precision. Not only the print image itself, but also the positioning of the print on the label is decisive. Deviations greater than 0.5 millimeters are not acceptable.

Label printing based on jewellers' quality standards

A thermal transfer printer transfers the color pigments from a transfer foil to the label material through pixel-fine heating elements in the print head. This results in labels with a sharp print image even with the smallest font size. If the label material and carbon ribbon are ideally matched, the print is even UV-resistant and ultrasonic-proof. Thermal transfer printers are therefore optimal for meeting the requirements of label printing in the jewellery and watchmaking sectors.
 

For beginners affordable in a package

For buyers of a thermal transfer printer, eXtra4 offers a package solution for an affordable start in label printing. You have the opportunity to receive a starter package at reduced costs when purchasing a thermal transfer printer of any size.
The starter package consists of a license for the label printing software eXtra4<winIII> for edition "Basic", a roll of black carbon ribbon suitable for the respective printer and a roll of labels. Each customer can freely select the labels from the eXtra4 stock range for his selected printer model according to his individual needs.

Slim Thermal Transfer Printers
for annual quantities starting from 1,000 labels

Label printers of the slimLINE class are desktop thermal transfer printers of small dimensions with a slim footprint and a web width of only 60 mm. They take up very little space and are designed for work environments where space is extremely limited. Despite their small format, they have mechanical and electronic quality of large ones. slimLINE label printers are therefore ideal for small annual requirements of approx. 1,000 labels and less. Desktop printers / standard sized printers

Thermal transfer printers for annual quantities of up to 50,000 labels

Label printers of the Desktop class are small thermal transfer printers designed for work environments where space is at a premium. Mechanically and electronically solid in construction, the devices are ideally suited for the average annual requirement of a jeweller of approx. 5,000 labels.
The more labels are printed, the more frequently carbon ribbon and label roll have to be changed, which costs time and effort. We therefore recommend larger thermal transfer printers from approx. 50,000 labels upwards.
 

   

   
 

 

Midrange Printers - medium label printers

Thermal transfer printers for annual quantities of 100,000 labels or more

Midrange label printers are a mix of desktop model and industry class. They have the characteristics of a high quality industrial printer, but take up little space. With room for large rolls of labels and carbon ribbon, plus mechanical stability and increased print speed, MidRange thermal transfer printers are ideal for work environments where space is at a premium but print volumes are increased.
 

   

   
 

 

Industrial printers - Label printers for high loads

Thermal transfer printers for annual quantities of 500,000 labels or more

The Maxi class of thermal transfer printers is designed for industrial requirements: tough conditions and high throughput. They have a rugged mechanical and electronic design.
In order to avoid frequent interruptions of the printing process due to roll changes, industrial printers have space for large rolls of labels and carbon ribbon. This makes industrial printers the ideal thermal transfer printers for printing labels in long runs.
 

   

 

 

Experience by in-house printer practice
